An exceptional Mid-Century Spring Chair, designed by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa and produced during the late 1960s to early 1970s. With its elegant low-back profile, sculptural steel frame, and timeless Scandinavian design, this iconic lounge chair makes a striking statement in both contemporary and classic interiors.
Presented in great condition, the chrome frame retains a beautiful finish, while numerous components have been carefully sourced and restored to an exacting standard. The central sprung slats have been sympathetically upgraded using thicker plywood, expertly routed to maintain the visual harmony of the original design while restoring the chair's celebrated comfort and support.
The original leather suspension straps have been meticulously nourished to preserve their strength and flexibility, helping to prevent fatigue and degradation. The original leather cushion has recently been conditioned and remains wonderfully characterful, displaying only the gentle patina and wear expected of a well-cared-for piece of this age.
