French Vanity Coat/Hat Rack
Bring a touch of mid-century French charm to your hallway with this distinctive vanity mirror, coat rack and hat shelf, dating from the 1950s–1960s.
Combining style with everyday practicality, it features a brass-plated wire frame, a perforated metal shelf, an asymmetric mirror and two Bakelite bobbin coat pegs. Age-related patina to the frame and minor foxing around the mirror’s edges add to its vintage character.
What we believe was a central red Bakelite coat peg is missing; its fixing point now serves as a fifth mounting point, without detracting from the piece’s overall appeal.
A characterful addition beside the front door—perfect for hanging coats, storing hats and taking one last glance before heading out.
